Privacy policy
Short, because we collect little
Namecy exists to keep your name out of domain ownership records. This policy is intentionally short, because we collect intentionally little.
What we store
Your email address
Used for sign-in codes, receipts, and expiry reminders. That's the only personal data an account needs.
Optional profile fields
A display name, only if you choose to set one.
Operational records
Your domains, orders, and an append-only balance ledger, retained as required to provide the service.
What we don't do
We never require your legal name, address, or phone number.
Domains are registered with our proxy contact details and WHOIS privacy enabled by default — your identity never reaches the registry.
We don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
We don't sell or share data. There is almost nothing to sell.
Payments
Payments are processed by the payment gateway you choose at checkout. We pass no personal data to the gateway — only an order reference and amount.
Security
Accounts are passwordless, with optional authenticator-app two-factor. Sensitive secrets are encrypted at rest; one-time codes are stored only as hashes.
Questions about privacy? We read every email.
