Terms of service

By using Namecy you agree to these terms. The short version: don't use private domains to hurt people, pay for what you register, and understand how proxy registration works.

Proxy registration

When you choose private registration, the domain is registered using our proxy contact details on your behalf. You keep full usage and management rights, and you may switch the domain to your own contact details or transfer it out at any time.

Acceptable use

Domains may not be used for malware distribution, phishing, child abuse material, spam operations, or activities illegal in your or our jurisdiction. We may suspend domains for documented abuse, and will favor transfer-out over confiscation wherever possible.

Payments and refunds

Domain registrations are final once submitted to the registry. If a registration fails after payment, the amount is credited to your account balance automatically. Payments are non-reversible by nature; account balance refunds are our standard remedy.

Renewals

Auto-renew is on by default and charges your account balance. If your balance can't cover a renewal we'll email you before the domain expires. Expired domains follow the registry's standard grace and redemption periods.
